Lifetime Shower Integrity Guarantee – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions explain how our Lifetime Shower Integrity Guarantee works. They are written in plain English so our clients clearly understand what is covered, what is included, and what is not.

 

 What This Guarantee Is

 

 The Lifetime Shower Integrity Guarantee is a maintenance-backed guarantee designed to ensure showers remain    watertight, functional, and well maintained over the long term. The guarantee applies to the integrity of tiled and  grouted shower areas that have been:

• Installed, regrouted, or repaired by Perth Elite Tiling and Bathroom Renovations, and

• Maintained through regular annual inspections.

 Because waterproofing membranes are concealed and cannot be visually inspected, this guarantee does not extend to  waterproofing systems installed by others.

 When the Guarantee Starts

 

 A shower becomes eligible for the Lifetime Shower Integrity Guarantee when one of the following has been completed  by us:

• New shower tiling and grouting

• Regrouting works

• Shower repairs that bring the shower up to our standard

 For existing showers, a free initial inspection may be carried out. If repairs or regrouting are required, the guarantee  begins after those works are completed and paid for.

 

 Annual Inspection Requirement

 

 To keep the guarantee active:

• One Annual Shower Inspection must be completed within each 12‑month period

• Inspections must be booked and paid for by the property owner

 If more than 12 months elapse without an inspection, the guarantee will lapse.

 If the guarantee lapses, it may be reinstated following a new inspection and any required rectification works.

 

 What is Included in the Annual Inspection Fee

 The initial shower inspection is a free service and if there are no concerns during the inspection your peace of mind and  guarantee can start any issues that need to be addressed. Will have to be completed and successfully pass a second    inspection.

 The annual inspection fee includes:

• Full visual inspection of the shower recess area

• Assessment of grout joints, tile junctions, and any silicone within the shower recess

• Identification of early-stage issues

• Minor maintenance repairs where required, including:

  • Small grout touch-ups

  • Minor cracked grout repairs

  • Localised silicone resealing

  • Preventative maintenance to stop early water entry

 These minor repairs are included so clients are not charged twice for maintenance and small corrective work.

 

 What Is Not Included

 

 The following are not included under the annual inspection fee or guarantee:

• Full regrouting works

• Tile replacement due to structural or building movement

• Substrate or wall movement issues

• Plumbing or drainage faults

• Major tile cracking, delamination, or substrate failure

• Waterproofing membrane failure or replacement

• Unless any of the above issues were a result from any work done by us

• Cleaning the shower. The shower on the time of inspection needs to be at a reasonable standard to allow proper detection of any issues. If the shower is deemed to be too dirty there will be a fee to clean the shower or return for a later appointment for inspection

  If a major issue is identified, it will be clearly explained and quoted separately. Once rectified, the guarantee may      continue.

 

 Fair Use & Responsibility

 

 This guarantee is designed for normal residential use.

 It does not cover damage caused by:

• Structural movement beyond normal tolerance

• Building defects unrelated to tiling or grouting

• Impact damage or misuse

• Alterations or repairs carried out by others

•  Chemical damage from harsh or inappropriate cleaning products
